A You put in long hours and get paid very little, so you have to do the job for more than just the pay and usually it's the interest in the outdoors. I also happened to be interested in history which is part of many of the parks. Unfortunately, as you get higher up in management, you spend less time outdoors, but you can still affect the resources out there. Q What is your least favorite part of the job? A There is a certain amount of frustration with the bureaucracy. Sometimes the lack of recognition can get to you. Q Do you employ mostly men in this division? A It just happens to be that way.
