There are no slick publications with colorful pictures, only newsletters sent out four times a year, probably done on a simple computer program. The articles aren't filled with technical jargon or perfectly written pieces designed to persuade you to donate more money. Rather it is filled with honest stories, practical suggestions and heart warming poetry. There are no appeals for money --a $10 donation makes one a lifetime member with 10 shares in their organization. And as a member, I have real influence on what their environmental agenda will be, with a biannual voting by the stockholders.

Recently, I wanted to donate more money, so I made my sister and her husband lifetime members. The letter I received thanking me for this contribution brought tears to my eyes. There were no gimmick promising me a free calendar or tote bag, only a simple piece of paper with simple graphics recording my gift. With less than 1000 members, they are truly greatful to all those who commit themselves to their organization.

With so many other groups wasting countless hours discussing what they want to do and then revising a plan after plan on how to accomplish it, the Earth Angels achievements speak for themselves. Here are a few (quoted straight from their brochure):
